お選びいただいたのは、agnes b.のAB-1032 PX-CLです。agnes b.は1975年、デザイナーのアニエス・トゥルブレがパリに立ち上げたファッションブランドです。飾りすぎず、でも個性がある。そんなフレンチカジュアルの感覚を大切にしてきたブランドで、アイウェアラインにもそのスタンスがよく表れています。

このAB-1032は、コンビネーション素材によるナイロール仕様のオーバル型フレームです。ナイロール構造とは、レンズの下半分をナイロン糸で支える仕様のことで、フレームの存在感を抑えながらも、上部のリムがきちんとした印象を与えてくれます。シンプルな設計の中に、わずかな遊び心が感じられるデザインで、普段から眼鏡をかけ慣れているYedra様のスタイルに、自然と馴染んでいました。

Ms. Yedra was visiting Japan on a trip from Belgium. She had come across Okuno Building on Instagram and other social media, and had also looked into our shop beforehand before making her way to us. As someone who wears glasses every day, she told us that our selection was "the most amazing and enjoyable of any eyewear shop she had ever visited" — words that meant a great deal to us. She took her time browsing the store at her own pace, and found just the right pair for herself.

The frame she chose was the agnes b. AB-1032 in PX-CL. agnes b. is a French fashion brand founded in Paris in 1975 by designer Agnès Troublé. The brand has always held to a sensibility that is unfussy yet full of character — what you might call French casual — and that spirit comes through clearly in their eyewear line as well.

The AB-1032 is a combination-material frame with a nylor construction in an oval shape. The nylor design supports the lower half of the lens with a thin nylon cord, keeping the frame's visual presence light while the upper rim lends a clean, composed look. Within its simple structure there is just a touch of playfulness, and the frame settled naturally into Ms. Yedra's everyday style as someone long accustomed to wearing glasses.
